PIANTATE LUNGHE
This is a very young winemaking company located in the heart of the
Conero area (province of Ancona). The winemakers are young, but they
have very clear ideas about the wines they want to make.
Their vineyards slope towards the Adriatic sea, and therefore benefit
from a rare ecosystem. The first harvest took place in 2004 and thanks
to favorable weather and attentive care of the winemakers (all grapes
are picked by hand) the first bottling was an immediate success.
The Rosso Conero DOC is made almost exclusively of Montepulciano grapes
with a small percentage of Sangiovese. They also produce the Rosso Conero
DOCG which is aged longer than the DOC. 2007 is its first year on the
market. |
