SCHIAVENZA
Since 1956 this estatehas been producing Barolo in Serralunga d'Alba,
the home to great barolos. Established by the Alessandria brothers,
it is now run by Luciano Pira who takes care of the production from
the vineyard to the bottle.
You must visit the estate: for a dinner in their cellar restaurant.
Their wines include: Barolo DOCG, Barolo Broglio/Prapò, Barbera
and Dolcetto. We believe Schiavenza is one of the greatest Barolo producers,
and few would argue with us.
ENZO BOGLIETTI
Another fantastic Barolo producers is Enzo Boglietti - a winemaker of
rare passion that becomes tangible in every one of his exquisite bottles.
Enzo's wines are modern, with a big, full temperament - just like Enzo.
Today they manage 21 hectares of the best Morra vineyards (75.000 bottles
produced a year). Their Barolo crus include: Brunate, Case Nere, Fossati,
Arione. They also produce a marvelous Barbera and a Dolcetto, as well
as a Langhe.
