N'ANTICCHIA of PAOLO CACIORGNA
After achieving numerous awards and recognitions as one of Italy's best enologists, Paolo has decided to make his own wine in one of Italy's most interesting and unusual winemakeing areas - below the Mount Etna. His N'anticchia is an Etna Rosso DOC, made of Nerello Mascalese - grape variety that expresses the elegance of barolo and complexity of burgundy. Nourished by Etna's volcanic soil, this carefully crafted wine has an immense and refined personality, and has been celebrated around the world.
OCCHIPINTI
Although this winemaking project is relatively young, it shows a great promise thanks to the winemakers’ passion for their land and their commitment to creating interesting wines that express faithfully a Sicilian personality. The estate is located in the Cerasuolo di vittoria area, under the Monti Iblei mountains. The key grape varieties cultivated here are Frappato di Vittoria and Nero d’Avola. Their 2 wines are Il Frappato and Siccagno, the former being made from Frappato di Vittoria grapes, and the later from Nero d’Avola. |
