LE FONTI in Poggibonsi
In this estate and its wines you can clearly see the masterful hand
of Lorenzo Bernini who continuously demonstrates his intimate knowledge
of the Tuscan land and its grapes. To find out what we mean, we suggest
tasting the glorious Vito Arturo wine.
The Le Fonti estate has belonged to the family of Vito Arturo Imberti
since 1956. This area is ideal for Sangiovese, and in the vineyards
that stretch over 22 hectares grow both old and new vines. The most
important wine produced is Vito Arturo IGT - a single vineyard cru,
100% Sangiovese, barrique aged. Their Chianti Classico DOCG and the
Riserva are also fantastic.
LE FONTI by Panzano
Halfway between Florence and Siena, this estate manages 15 hectares
of olive groves and 8.5 hectares of vineyards. Run by the Schmitt-Vitali
family since 1994, it produces 30.000 bottles a year. They have an excellent
Chianti Classico and Chianti Classico Riserva.
