WINE TOUR - NYC and Baltimore, Nov. 2010

This year the my visit in New York started with a great wine tasting event on November 16, 2010 at St. Barts Inside Park.
My good friends from company Raymond James have hosted this event for me.

We had some interesting wines. I would like to mention Piantonaia from Giorgio Pinchiorri, Capua winery with their Tuscany wine selection, and Stapleton&Springer with their Moravian Pinot Noir.

The event was attende by 100+ wine lovers from Raymond James group. The atmosphere was friendly and spontaneous, the food and service excellent, and the venue was really befitting – indeed I would recommend it for any bigger event.

The following day we organized another wine tasting – it was held in a restaurant Antica Bottega del Vino with about 20 friends.

We enjoyed a very fine wine selection: Massolino Barolo Vigna Rionda 1990 Riserva, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2004; Santa Lucia RiservaUva do Troia 2006, 2007 and 2004, Biondi Santi Brunello Riserva 1990 and many others.

The following days I visited several restaurants, among which I would like to mention Babbo where the food was excuisit and the service perfect.

Another restaurant I want to mention is Il Buco and its wine director Paul Lang

Finally, Restaurant Frank at 88 Second Ave was a really interesting discovery (ask for Eamon great Extra Virgin Olive Oil lover).

Before returning to Italy I stopped in Baltimore where we had a great wine tasting dinner at the splendid Capital Grille.
